Santon’s Project “Research and Industrialization of High-performance Cemented Carbide CNC Inserts” Successfully Passed Acceptance

On the morning of September 4, 2020, the project entitled Research and Industrialization of High-performance Cemented Carbide CNC Inserts undertaken by Chengdu Santon Cemented Carbide Co., Ltd. successfully passed the official acceptance inspection organized by the project acceptance team of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology. Qiu Hongzhuan, Deputy Director, and Luo Yonggang, Special Commissioner, of the Metallurgy and Building Materials Division of the department, together with expert group members including Huang Yong, Peng Jun and Wei Liangyi, conducted an on-site investigation and evaluation at Santon, and finally confirmed the project as qualified for acceptance.

During the acceptance meeting, Peng Shaoyu, Vice President of Sichuan Metallurgical Economic Association and Chairman of Chengdu Santon Cemented Carbide Co., Ltd., briefly introduced the company’s overall development situation. Xiao Xinzhi, General Manager of the company, reported to the acceptance team on the project’s approval background, implementation progress and overall completion status. Yan Min, Deputy General Manager, presented a brief report covering the market scale, product categories and application fields of related products. Li Rong from the Finance Department, Huang Ligang, Minister of the Manufacturing Department, and Deng Jincheng, Process Engineer, also attended the meeting.

 Qiu Hongzhuan and all expert group members highly recognized Santon’s international development plan for vertical-mounted inserts and fully affirmed the solid progress and practical achievements made throughout the project implementation. The team encouraged the company to actively respond to national initiatives for the localization and intelligent upgrading of high-end manufacturing and high-end equipment industries, accelerate the import substitution and internationalization of vertical-mounted inserts, and contribute to the stable and high-quality development of the cemented carbide industry.
