News Brief! Chengdu Santon Cemented Carbide Co., Ltd. Elected Member of the Council of Sichuan Metallurgical Economic Association

On the afternoon of December 26, 2024, the Sichuan Metallurgical New Material Industry Economic Operation Conference & 2024 Sichuan Metallurgical Economic Association Member Representative Conference was held at Jinniu Hotel. At the conference, Chengdu Santon Cemented Carbide Co., Ltd., together with other well-known industrial enterprises, was elected as a council member unit of the association. Mr. Peng Shaoyu, Chairman of the company, attended the conference upon invitation.

Leaders from the Materials Industry Department of Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Department delivered speeches at the event. Professor Liu Ying, Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Sichuan University, presented a special report entitled Development and Challenges of High-value Materials for Vanadium and Titanium Rare Earth Resources. Professor Hu Chunfeng, Doctoral Supervisor from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, delivered a special report entitled Synthesis Technology and Engineering Application of Advanced Materials. The conference elected the association’s new president, vice presidents, secretary-general and council member units.

The conference demonstrated the application status and promising prospects of new technologies and new materials in Sichuan’s metallurgical new material industry in 2024, which will drive technological progress and product transformation and upgrading of enterprises in the industry.
